History

Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) in Delhi was established in 1916 and named after Lady Hardinge, the wife of the then Viceroy of India, Lord Hardinge. Founded with the goal of providing quality medical education to women, LHMC was one of the first institutions of its kind in India. Over the years, it has evolved into a premier medical college, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and super- specialty courses. With a rich history spanning over a century, LHMC has produced some of the most distinguished doctors and continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare in India.
